A simple solution to the algorithm

Guarantees

1. Every movie picked squarely fits exactly into the genre on the card. For example, you won't see The Godfather in Cops & Robbers because no cops are a factor in the story. You also won't see it in Action because, despite there being a few action-style set pieces, this movie is a family drama to its core.

2. We guarantee no one person has seen all 10 selections on any given card. And this isn't a silly nilly guarantee from Willy! This is a bona fide money back guarantee. If you buy a card, and after scratching all the selections discover you've seen every single one, let us know and we'll refund you for the card and even send a new one as replacement.

3. No overlaps and no changes. Despite our plethora of genre options, you can be sure that every card has no selections that are already on another. If you buy Tech Scifi and Time Travel, you can rest easy knowing that it will be 20 different movies. Also, we do not change the picks on a card. If you buy Drama now, it won't change in six months. That's what the sequels are for, like Comedy II!  4. No obscurity for obscurity's sake. We're not trying to pick options just because we think they're outliers. All selections range widely from all corners of the film and TV world, with critic and audience ratings all over the map, which brings us to our only non-guarantee. We can't guarantee you'll love every pick. While our expert's selections are always prescreened and approved material, art is subjective, and much like anything, your enjoyment depends on a combination of preferences, environment and life experiences. We exist to scratch the itch (pun absolutely intended) you have when the urge comes to watch something that fits whatever mood you're in. Our goal is to open your eyes and ears to new movies and TV that hit the spot you like, or to help you discover more from your blindspots, or certain genres you simply want to learn more about. And lastly, don't be afraid to rent! You spend, what, $20/month on Netflix to watch The Office? A show you can buy in its entirety and have forever for less than 3 month's worth of subscription? Nearly all of our selections are available for rent at far less than the price of monthly streaming, so don't be afraid to spend that extra couple bucks if need be. There is also an excellent app called Just Watch (Not sponsored), that can help find where a selection might already be available on your current subscriptions. Happy Hunting!
